- The White House responded to Rosie O'Donnell's criticism in an exclusive statement to EW.

- Spokesperson Taylor Rogers calls O'Donnell and *View* cohost Joy Behar "irrelevant losers."**

- The statement also says the White House wants Behar to move out of the country.

The White House has taken aim at Joy Behar and Rosie O'Donnell, after former *The View* cohost O'Donnell shared an impassioned speculation that the talk show would be canceled amid growing political tensions.

When reached for comment on O'Donnell's post, which referenced Behar, White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers exclusively tells ** that they feel the pair are "irrelevant losers," while also creating a new nickname for Behar.

"Rosie O'Donnell and 'Joyless' Behar are irrelevant losers with too much time on their hands, whining about a failing talk show while everyday Americans are working hard," Rogers says in a statement, which goes on to reference O'Donnell's recent move to Ireland to escape Donald Trump's second-term presidency. "Our country is better off with Rosie living abroad — and we can all hope 'Joyless' Behar will join her next!"

The statement continues, chastising "the mainstream media" while also alleging that the entity at large "is finally admitting that writing off 80 million Americans is not a winning business model."

EW has reached out to representatives for O'Donnell and Behar at *The View* for a response.

The White House spoke out after O'Donnell shared a lengthy statement to TikTok in which she speculated that *The View *would be canceled amid unconfirmed rumors that parent network ABC was considering ending the show over "liberal bias."**

"Because it's not enough to run the country into the ground. You have to control what people SEE What they HEAR What they think," O'Donnell wrote in the post's caption. "And *The View*? Well, that's a little too much woman — a little too much truth — a little too much Joy Behar saying 'I don't think the insurrection was a tourist visit, Karen.' Apparently, the truth is dangerous now."

She finished, writing, "So no — we do not get quieter. We do not make ourselves smaller, so they can feel more comfortable. We speak louder. We take up space. We stand together and say what is true, even when it shakes the walls. Because the most dangerous sound in the world is a woman who knows what she's talking about — and refuses to stop."

*The View *has drawn criticism from a wide range of sectors in recent weeks, beginning after Republican panelist Ana Navarro slammed tourists as racist for visiting Florida's Alligator Alcatraz detention centers amid Trump's crackdowns on immigration.**

In an exclusive statement to EW in July, another White House spokesperson, Abigail Jackson, said that, "Every time you think Ana Navaro [*sic*] can't get any dumber, she proves you wrong."

After Behar suggested on a later episode that Trump was jealous of Barack Obama's looks and healthy marriage to Michelle Obama, the White House released another message to EW. This time, Rogers said that *The View* might be "pulled off the air" over Behar's comments, again calling her an "irrelevant loser" over her words.

Later, Federal Communications Commission chair Brendan Carr discussed potential "consequences" for* The View *in an appearance on Fox News that also saw him speak about unchecked liberal bias in the media.

Animated comedy *South Park* and *Late Show* host Stephen Colbert have also tussled with Trump in recent weeks, after the White House lashed out at the cartoon series over its depiction of a fictionalized version of Trump attempting to seduce Satan.

Trump critic Colbert's supporters also alleged in the wake of his talk show's cancellation that, amid CBS parent company Paramount's recent merger with Skydance, the move might've been politically motivated in an effort to get the FCC to approve the deal.

*The View* (alongside its companion *Behind the Table* podcast) returns in September for season 29, with episodes airing at 11 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT on ABC.
