Armie Hammer reflected on working with Johnny Depp, including a moment when he allegedly got the actor stoned before a press junket while they were promoting their 2013 film *The Lone Ranger*.
On a recent episode of the *Armie HammerTime* podcast, the *Call Me By Your Name* star said he was smoking "upwards of 15 to 20 joints a day" at the time, and he recalled getting in trouble after allegedly getting Depp too high at one publicity stop.
"They never let me hang out with Johnny on the press after that," he said. "They would always keep us apart. They never let us do press together. They were like, 'You two cannot hang out anymore.'" **

In *The Lone Ranger*, Hammer played the eponymous hero while Depp took on the role of Tonto. The movie was considered a flop, losing Disney between $160 and $190 million.
Hammer recalled how he "loved poisoning people" with weed and quipped that he "loved marijuana roofie-ing" others.
"I loved smoking marijuana with people to the point where, like, they were like, 'I'm so stoned I can't find my feet,'" he said.

The *Rebecca* actor previously shared that he was sober after seeking treatment for drug, alcohol, and sex addiction. He told the *Hollywood Reporter *in February that he practices "behavioral sobriety."
Hammer retreated from Hollywood after he was accused of cannibalism, abuse, and sexual assault in 2021. He denied wrongdoing, although he did recently admit to being "selfish, and inconsiderate, and an a--hole." The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined to pursue charges in the case of one of his ex-partners in 2023.
