'Nobody 2'; 'Alien: Earth'; 'The Rainmaker'. Credit:

Nearly 20 years after Inside Man, their last collaboration, Denzel Washington and Spike Lee reteam for *Highest 2 Lowest *— a reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa's *High and Low*, and loosely based on *The King's Ransom* — about a record company executive whose son gets kidnapped for a high ransom.

Also in theaters, Bob Odenkirk is back in action for *Nobody 2*, this time taking on a crime boss (Sharon Stone) and the local authorities she controls.

On TV, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and company say farewell as their *Sex and the City* sequel series *And Just Like That* wraps up after three seasons. Plus, Timothy Olyphant stars in the new series *Alien: Earth*, John Slattery leads the series adaptation of the John Grishman novel *The Rainmaker*, and Alicia Silverstone heads across the pond for the family drama *Irish Blood*.
