From costars on screen to costars in wedded bliss!

*Shadowhunters *stars Alberto Rosende and Tessa Mossey tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony on Sunday, surrounded by their friends and family. Mossey and Rosende, who starred as Heidi McKenzie and Simon Lewis on Freeform's supernatural drama series, have been linked publicly since at least 2019.

A series of photos and videos captured by attendees and shared to Mossey's Instagram Story gave followers a peek at the lush, green-filled scenery, as well as the bride's gorgeous look. Mossey wore a gathered, textured gown, and a lace veil with a train with a collection of white flowers and greenery as her wedding bouquet.

Mossey was escorted down the aisle by her mother, which the actress shared on her own Instagram story, before the couple said "I do" against a lakeside backdrop on Prince Edward Island.**

"Celebrating the union of these two genuine souls, whose love is so pure and tender, has been one of the loveliest and heartwarming wedding celebrations I've ever experienced," the couple's friend, Dominique Domingo (*The Accountant 2*), wrote over a video of the couple's first kiss as newlyweds.

'Shadowhunters' bosses break down the series finale and explain that ending

SHADOWHUNTERS - "All Good Things." - In the second part of the series finale, Jonathan begins his reign of vengeful terror as the Shadowhunters try to find a way to stop him. With only one hope, Clary must make a sacrifice that could have long lasting implications for all. Meanwhile, wedding bells are in the air for one special couple. This episode of "Shadowhunters" airs May 6 (8:00-10:30 p.m. EDT) on Freeform. (Freeform/Ben Mark Holzberg) KATHERINE MCNAMARA

In December 2022, Mossey revealed on her Instagram page that the pair "proposed to each other" in 2021.

"A year (and a couple days) ago, Alberto and I proposed to each other," Mossey captioned a series of photos showing the double proposal.

"He thought he was surprising me but I had a ring for him hidden on me too," she added. "We hadn't shared these pictures yet so here are a bunch (thank you @joshvenkat 💯)!"

Wedded bliss is a sight more romantic than what went down in Mossey and Rosende's onscreen relationship in *Shadowhunters*. The pair had a bloody and largely one-sided toxic relationship that ended when Mossey's character was killed in season 3.

Of course, *Shadowhunters* was canceled after three seasons and ended with an extended series finale that saw Simon become a Downworlder Deputy of the Institute and come together with Isabelle Lightwood (Emeraude Toubia), after seasons of will-they-won't-they.

In 2019, showrunners Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin told ** that the series' cancellation meant the couple's relationship didn't happen the way they had always hoped.

"We were patiently building to this relationship that was going to have a lot of depth and go on for seasons," Swimmer said, adding, "These are all things we're going to have to have the fans continue in the fan fiction."

Fortunately things worked out perfectly for Mossey and Rosende!**
