Wake up the members of the *iCarly* nation, because it's (almost) your time to be — again!
Miranda Cosgrove has shared an "exciting" update on the long-rumored *iCarly* wrap-up movie after the Paramount+ reboot ended on a shocking cliffhanger.
"It's being written, which is really exciting," Cosgrove tells **. "And it looks like it's happening. I'm really excited."

The first iteration of *iCarly* aired on Nickelodeon from 2007-2012, starring Cosgrove as an early internet influencer with a viral web show. Jennette McCurdy played her best friend Sam, and Nathan Kress played her friend–love interest Freddie, while Jerry Trainor portrayed Carly's older brother-guardian Spencer.
Everyone except for McCurdy (whose memoir *I'm Glad My Mom Died *explains her retirement from acting) returned for Paramount+'s reboot in 2021, which further explored the romance between Carly and Freddie. However, Paramount+ canceled the *iCarly* reboot in 2023 after three seasons, ending the series on a major cliffhanger where Carly and Spencer's absent mother returned.

Miranda Cosgrove dishes on the 'iCarly' couple finally getting together
Carly was basically raised by her older brother after their mother abandoned them when they were younger, and their father (David Chisum) was serving in the Air Force overseas. Their mother has never been seen on the show before, and the finale didn't reveal her onscreen, but Cosgrove reveals that will finally happen in the movie.
"We don't know who's going to play the mom character yet, but she's going to be a big part of the movie," Cosgrove tells EW. "That's exciting. We're just excited to start it and actually film."

This is the first time fans have gotten confirmation that the *iCarly* movie is moving forward. Cosgrove last spoke about it during an appearance on daytime show *The Talk* in November 2024.
"I'm not allowed to 100 percent confirm anything yet," Cosgrove told the hosts. "But I think the fans of the show are going to be super excited because we have something in the works... We actually ended the revival on a cliffhanger, and we're going to wrap that up."
