Ahead of her detective drama *Honey, Don't* hitting theaters later this month, Aubrey Plaza has signed on to play infamous Hollywood madam, Heidi Fleiss.

** has learned that Plaza will both produce and star in *The Heidi Fleiss Story*, a biopic about the infamous columnist and TV personality who was busted in the early '90s for what was said to be the world's largest high-end prostitution ring.

The notorious escort service eventually saw Fleiss arrested and convicted for tax evasion and implicated several Hollywood stars and politicians.

*The Heidi Fleiss Story* will mark the directorial debut of Leah Rachel (Netflix's *Chambers*) working off a script penned by *Bottoms* creative Rachel Sennott along with Rachel and Travis Jackson (*Hemlock Grove)* The film will follow Fleiss scrambling around Los Angeles ahead of her trial, as she attempts to leverage and blackmail her way to freedom.

The biopic hails from Pinky Promise, with founders Jessamine Burgum and Kara Durrett also serving as producers. At just five years old, the company has already delivered several acclaimed and award-winning indies, including Pamela Anderson's career redefining 2024 film, *The Last Showgirl*, Andrea Arnold's *Bird*, and* Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul*, starring Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown. The company will next release Scarlett Johansson's directorial debut, *Eleanor the Great*, which stars June Squibb.

In the meantime, the *Parks and Rec *alum will next be seen playing the cop to Margaret Qualley's PI in *Honey, Don't*.
