The wolves are no doubt punching a hole through the wall over this: The United States Department of Agriculture is using audio of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver's explosive fight in Noah Baumbach's *Marriage Story* to scare off grey wolves.
A wildly entertaining report published in *The Wall Street Journal* details the USDA's unorthodox approach to protecting livestock from the once-endangered predators across the American West, after farmers like Jim and Mary Rickert of Prather Ranch near the Oregon border have lost as many as 40 calves within the past year. "It's basically like driving through Burger King, easy pickings for them," Mary Rickert told WSJ.
The solution? Wolf hazing, per the report: "Riding to the rescue are drone cowhands, whose quadcopters have thermal cameras that can reveal any wolf lurking in the darkness and bathe it in a spotlight. A loudspeaker broadcasts alarming sounds like fireworks, gunshots, and people arguing. One recording is of the fight between Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver in the movie *Marriage Story*."**

"I need the wolves to respond and know that, hey, humans are bad," Paul Wolf, a USDA district supervisor in Oregon, told the magazine. (Yes, "that's really his name," reads the report.)
The practice, which startles the wolves back into the woods, also employs loud music, including AC/DC's "Thunderstruck." It appears to be working. Per the report: "The drones were deployed in the Klamath Basin of southern Oregon after 11 cows were killed by wolves there in a 20-day period. Over the next 85 days when drones were on patrol, only two were killed."**
Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson fall apart in the tender, devastating 'Marriage Story'
'Jurassic World Rebirth' star Scarlett Johansson is now the highest-grossing lead actor
The Academy Award-winning *Marriage Story *stars Johansson and Driver as a stage director and actress husband-and-wife duo going through a bitter divorce and custody battle over their son. The tension reaches a fever pitch in a grueling apartment fight scene, one that director Baumbach called the "most difficult scene I've ever shot in a movie, but also the most rewarding."
"They've lost their voices; they've lost a sense of who they are," Baumbach told ** in a scene breakdown in 2019. "They're trying to figure out what they believe anymore. And that's a dangerous place, I think, for a couple to find themselves."
"Even in this scene, which maybe is the most contentious things become, you still feel that intimacy," he added. "I always felt, throughout the whole movie, that love exists in every scene."
