Noah Centineo is ready to draw blood.

The *To All the Boys I've Loved Before* heartthrob is attached to star as the titular hero of *John Rambo*, a prequel film from Millennium Media that will delve into the backstory of Sylvester Stallone's iconic character.

News of the *Rambo* prequel originally arrived in May, with *Sisu* director Jalmari Helander set to helm a script penned by *Informer* and *Black Adam* writing duo, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Plot specifics are being kept under wraps, but the film will tell the Vietnam War origins of a young John Rambo during his time as an elite Green Beret in the U.S. Army. Filming is set to begin in January.

"We are thrilled to introduce a fresh new chapter to the *Rambo* legacy," Millennium President Jonathan Yunger said in a statement provided to **. "This project is a tribute to one of the best franchises in movie history that will appeal to both longtime fans and new audiences alike."

Created by David Morell in his 1972 novel *First Blood*, Rambo has become one of the most recognizable heroes in film history after the book was adapted into an action-packed blockbuster with Stallone in the lead role. The franchise sees Rambo — haunted by his time at war, but equipped with superior military skills — using his expertise against corrupt police officers, crime syndicates, and enemy troops.

The 1982 film *First Blood* spawned four sequels: *Rambo: First Blood Part II* (1985), *Rambo III* (1988), *Rambo* (2008), and *Rambo: Last Blood* (2019). The final film saw Rambo confront his past, using his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge with one final mission. Altogether, the film series has grossed upwards of $850 million. Stallone starred in every entry, co-wrote the screenplays of all five films, and directed the 2008 film.

Centineo rose to fame for his role in the *To All the Boys* films, adapted from Jenny Han's popular book series. He has since embraced the world of action as Atom Smasher in DC's *Black Adam* adaptation and Alex Garland's *Warfare*, in addition to leading the spy series, *The Recruit*. The series, about a CIA lawyer entangled in dangerous international affairs, was canceled earlier this year after two seasons.

Baby, let the games begin.

Swifties everywhere were sent into quite the tizzy Monday, after the Taylor Swift-affiliated social media account Taylor Nation shared an Instagram post with the caption, "Thinking about when she said 'See you next era…' ❤️‍🔥." Suspiciously, this occurred right around the same time the *New Heights* podcast — which is hosted by Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason — announced a surprise episode with "a VERY special guest" slated for Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET.

Why are fans convinced this guest is none other than Swift herself? For starters, the episode is releasing on Wednesday, which is the 13th — a very special number in Swiftian lore (for the uninitiated, she was born on the 13th of December and considers it her lucky number). The promo photo for the episode has a blacked-out outline of someone who appears to have a profile and haircut very similar to the pop star, as well.

There's also the fact that both Travis and Jason appear to be wearing official Swift merch in the pic. The background of the photo is also sparkly and orange, much like all of the Eras Tour outfits Swift is shown wearing in each photo of the aforementioned Taylor Nation post. It's also notable that this episode is going up in primetime, as opposed to its usual early-morning release, which would suggest someone *big*.

Swifties are not just convinced that their queen is going to be on the podcast though — they have major reason to believe that she's going to drop some big news during the visit.

But what could she be announcing? The invisible strings seem to be pointing hardest to new music, specifically her 12th studio album. After all, she seems to have been hinting it was coming for a while now. Back in May, when Swift announced that she had officially bought back the masters to all of her work, a letter on her website explaining the news used 12 of the letter "i" in one line that read, "All the times I was thiiiiiiiiiiiis close."

And, in an Instagram Stories caption celebrating friend Selena Gomez's album *I Said I Love You First*, Swift similarly used 12 of the letter "d," writing, "OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD." Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the singer's earrings at the Grammys earlier this year had 12 red rubies in them. All of this led Swifties to believe a 12th studio album was imminent, and now with all of this, they're practically convinced.

After all, if Swift was just going on the podcast for fun — and this would hypothetically be her first time doing so, by the way — why would Taylor Nation be posting around the same time about whatever her "next era" might be? And why would her label, Republic Records, be commenting on that post using the same heart-on-fire emoji, above? (Side note: Whatever this next possible era is, does it have something to do with flames, burning, or hearts on fire?)

It all feels rather cryptic and Machiavellian from the "Mastermind" singer herself, but of course, "next era" could mean anything, or nothing. She could be in her feature film directorial debut era, finally. She could be releasing vault tracks from *Reputation*, or the re-recorded version of her debut album, which she's threatened to someday possibly do. She could be teasing some sort of filmed project, like the Eras Tour concert film. She could be in her engagement era (a joint reveal with Travis and his brother on their own podcast *would* be really sweet and personal).

Or, she could still be in her vacation era, and simply wanted to have some fun. Guess we'll all just have to tune in to *New Heights* at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday to find out what, if any, "Vigilante S---" Swift is up to.**

**This story contains spoilers for the August 11 episode of *Beyond the Gates*.**

The titular gates to this exclusive enclave don't swing open for just anybody. But for *The Young and the Restless* star Bryton James? Any time, any day.

Two weeks after a tantalizing teaser first heralded an incoming cameo from Devon Winters, the character James has played on *Y&R *for over two decades finally arrived on Monday's installment of *Beyond the Gates*.

"It's extremely exciting," James tells * *ahead of his historic role as the first crossover star from one of the fledgling soap's sister series on CBS. Longtime fans of *Y&R *and *The Bold and the Beautiful*, its companion series since 1987, have wondered whether *Beyond the Gates*' fictional setting in a ritzy Maryland suburb exists in the same world as *Y&R*'s Genoa City, Wis., and *B&B*'s Los Angeles. Then in walks Devon, instantly uniting the disparate kingdoms of the CBS soap opera-verse.

"It was a huge honor to be the one that they asked to make that jump. And it's been really a cool experience to see the show grow into what it is," James shares.

"When I heard who called I knew I had to be here," Clifton Davis' retired Senator Vernon Dupree tells his EGOT-winning wife Anita (Tamara Tunie) on Monday's episode of the new daytime drama. The pair settle into a table at Fairmont Crest, the country club in the heart of the gated community which gives the series its title, where Vernon continues, "When's the last time we laid eyes on him?"

Anita sighs that "it's been years" before spotting her old pal. "Devon! Welcome to Fairmont Crest," she announces, rising to meet James' spotlessly styled record executive and producer. The timing just days after Anita's grand reunion with her Supremes-esque girl-group, The Articulettes, isn't likely an accident.**

Devon greets "miss Anita" and "Senator Dupree" like old friends, and James credits the actors who portray them as the primary architects of the "amazing environment" he was welcomed into. "Usually it's kind of uncomfortable going onto another show or another set," he shares with EW. "[But] Tamara and Clifton couldn't be more welcoming, and were just pleasures to work with. They made me feel right at home."

"I didn't want to mess up," James jokes, reflecting on his scenes opposite Tunie and Davis, who tout a near-century of acting experience between them, a decent chunk of which was devoted to soaps (Tunie starred as Jessica Griffin on over 1300 episodes of *As the World Turns*, and Davis' career began with a stint on the short-lived *A World Apart*).

"I was really nervous about not messing up. It's kind of [about] representing *Y&R* in the best way, and being my best for them, you know, being the focal points of the show. But they made me feel good," James says.

Before Devon can reveal why he placed what Anita describes as a "both intriguing and cryptic" call to the Duprees after so many years, the trio touch on the origins of their shared bond. It turns out they're acquainted through Devon's late adoptive father Neil (Kristoff St. John). "How we miss Neil - his smile, his big heart, his love of music," Anita muses, in a touching tribute to the actor who suddenly died in 2019 at 52.

Finally, Devon presents Anita with a "mind-blowing proposition" that vindicates weeks' worth of feverish speculation from soap fans.

"I livestream the reunion concert and I was just completely blown away and when you performed 'Loving You.' I knew right then and there that I had my next platinum project for my jazz label," Devon reveals. He offers the retired songstress a lucrative deal entailing "sharing executive producing credit, but you would have complete creative control." But Anita turns him down, citing the perennial Dupree "family first" dictum, and suggesting he instead sign her fellow Articulettes, Sharon (Bonita Brisker) and Tracy (Maria Howell).**

Devon seems satisfied with the counter offer, and their business seems settled. But this is Fairmont Crest, where things rarely settle down completely.********

On his way out of the country club, Devon runs into Anita and Vernon's daughter Dani (Karla Mosley), the spitfire powerhouse of the Dupree family. Witnessing James share the frame with Mosley is likely to trigger something within avid *Y&R *watchers, and the experience represents something profound for the actor, too.

"Working with Karla again, I mean, that was like a homecoming. She spent a lot of time across the hallway from us on *B&B*, and then she spent some time with my character on *Y&R*. So it just felt like home, even though it was a brand new environment," James tells EW.

Indeed, James and Mosley's paths previously crossed not once, but twice in soap world. Mosley played the trailblazing Maya Avant Forrester on *The Bold and the Beautiful *for eight years, meaning from 2013-2020, she worked year-round on the same lot as James. Then in 2021, she filled in for Mishael Morgan for a stint on* The Young and the Restless *as Amanda Sinclair, the twin sister of the late Hilary Curtis. Devon had a romantic history with both Hilary and Amanda, and the sparks certainly seemed to fly between Devon and Dani on *Beyond the Gates*.

"Devon Winters," Dani purrs when they encounter each other in the Fairmont Crest foyer. "Dani Dupree," he returns, holding the hand she offered for a shake long enough to suggest that this is hardly their first meeting. "I just offered your mom a record deal and she turned me down. Think you could put in a good word for me?" Dani says she'll try, "but when my mother says no - set in stone."

Devon accepts that it's his loss and heads for the door, prompting Dani to sprout a bemused smile as she follows him out with her eyes. She is, after all, caught in the love triangle from hell with nurse Ashley (Jen Jacob) and her sister's nephew-in-law Andre (Sean Freeman), and still isn't over her imperious ex-husband Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett).

Devon would be a welcome way out of all this entanglement, but can James see a path forward with Dani?

"Absolutely," the actor says. "From how well the crossover went behind the scenes to the ideas that they've had for the future, I think they want to keep stuff open for there to be any potential interactions with our show and theirs. I think that fans will enjoy this, and that the network will pay attention."

That might have been all for James, but one pressing matter had to be resolved before he headed back to Genoa City. Devon was adopted by the Winters family, but for a long time went by Devon Hamilton, after discovering the identities of his biological father and mother - Tucker McCall (played at the time by Stephen Nichols) and Yolanda "Harmony" Hamilton (played at the time by Debbi Morgan). Could Dani be heading straight toward an even more complicated love triangle given Bill and Devon's shared last name?

"That's very interesting. This is the first I'm hearing of this theory," James reveals. Could Bill and Devon be cousins? Even half-brothers? "It's an interesting possible connection, and it makes sense to me," he muses. "I really hope that they not only plan to have some more of us from *Y&R* head over there, but they gotta bring some of them to our show too." *Y&R *and *BTG *fans could only get so lucky.

*Beyond the Gates *airs weekdays on CBS at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, and is also available to stream on Paramount+.**

Linda Hogan is remembering her late ex-husband Hulk Hogan on what would have been his 72nd birthday.

On Monday, the former TV personality shared a photo of her and Hulk (real name Terry Bollea) to her Instagram page. "Me and Hulkster .. 1981 Happy Birthday Terry," Linda captured the throwback photo. "I love and miss you so much .."

The sentimental tribute comes two weeks after the retired wrestler-turned-actor and reality TV star died July 24 at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

Hulk died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, * *confirmed. According to medical records, the former pro wrestler had a history of leukemia and atrial fibrillation, a common disorder that causes irregular heartbeats. The manner of death was ruled natural.

Linda and Hulk were married in 1983 and share two adult children, daughter Brooke, 37, and son Nick, 35.

The family headlined the 2000s reality show *Hogan Knows Best *together before Linda and Hulk separated in 2007. They finalized their divorce in 2009.

Despite their breakup and estrangement in recent years, Linda was notably emotional when she broke her silence after the news of Hulk's death made headlines.

"I had no idea he would pass away this soon," Linda wrote in a comment on her Instagram post from July 28. "We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It's hitting me so hard."

She wrote, "I loved Hulkster more than he loved me. It hurt when he cheated. But he was sooo famous. I sort of [understood] but it was crushing. It hurt. I b😢ever got over him or started a real relationship w anyone.. I missed HIM! I've been weeping all day. The finality. It's just shocking."**

Linda acknowledged that she and Hulk weren't on speaking terms before his death, adding that their son would "tell me things and vice versa."

"I still felt .. although broken .. we still were a family," she concluded. "It's so hard to know he's just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick ... but I'm melting down now. It's very sad. I love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP."

Linda was among the mourners gathered for Hulk's funeral service at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida on Aug. 5. Brooke, her daughter with Hulk, did not attend.

Instead, Brooke revealed on Instagram that she chose to honor her father's memory "the best and most genuine way I knew how...privately...the way that made me feel the closest to him."

"My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn't want one," she wrote alongside multiple photos of her along with her husband, Steven Oleksy, and their twins, Oliver and Molly — whom they welcomed in January — at the beach. "And although I know people grieve in many ways — and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him — as his daughter, I had to make my own decision."**

The former *Hogan Knows Best* star added, "Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved." **

"Molly loved the water," she continued. "I think she'll be a 'little fish,' as you called me. We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you."**

She concluded, "Rest in heaven, Daddy ❤️."

Lily James is facing her toughest battle yet: Tinder's "pervasive dick pics."

The first trailer for *Swiped*, Hulu's film chronicling the story of Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe (James), is here, and it doesn't hold back on the shocking-yet-true reality of the rise of online dating apps for the younger generation.

Inspired by the real-life story of Whitney, the movie follows the recent college grad who helped create Tinder but quickly discovered the darker side of working in the male-dominated tech industry. As Tinder's popularity grew exponentially among millennial users, so too did the problem of women receiving unwanted sexual photos on the app.

"There's an article about how pervasive the dick pics are," one female coworker tells Whitney in an emergency meeting.

"They report and nothing happens," another coworker explains to the shocked entrepreneur.

As Whitney tries to fight the growing problem, she's unceremoniously cut out from the company she helped create by men who downplay the issue.

"These chicks are just reporting guys who reject them," one of Whitney's male coworkers tells her.

As a result, Whitney strikes out on her own to start a "revolution" against the sexist, misogynistic, toxic environment that Tinder became.
